Live music has taken on new dimensions for DJs in the last few years thanks to STEMS and Harmonic mixing availabilties. Discerning listeners will notice that many songs splice seamlessly together, overlapping not just percussion, but even the melodies from different songs. This can only be done when the song choices are in complimentary keys and when using software mixing tools such as those from Native Instruments. It’s been my experience that, by using these techniques, we keep people dancing continuously from song to song. Together with #STEMSmusic & harmonic DJing one can do live remixing and blur the perception of song transitions.
